Does anyone have any ideas for ground work for my horse?
My horse is 15HH, 4 years old. i broke her in last august, and i left her over the winter to mature. I need to do some more ground work with her to bring her back into work as shes getting board of lunging. Thanks
Set up some poles on the ground and have her walk over them, then have her trot them. Then make a very small cross-rail and trot her over it (take the lead rope and lead her over it). Also get her used to her tack. Try lunging her with just her saddle and see how she goes. Then you can put her bridle on over her halter and lung her with all her tack on. Have a trainer help you with tacking her up and lunging her, because you never know how she will react to the tack.
