What is the best model / design to do for my very first quilt?
I want to make my boyfriend a quilt for Christmas, but I never made a quilt for myself. My grandmother always helped me. It's been a while since I've been helped by one. Since I left home and I did not help. It is all the way to Chicago and I'm in North Carolina. I want something simple. All the websites or links?
I have an idea of bedding sheet / model I have done for years. Right now I have a mess of what I do as a Christmas gift with 1 already .. People still have the odd ball leaves extra ugly that do not like something, or thrift stores have sheets cheap you can get 2,3,4 and use them. I use a sheet of paper or typing a magazine kind of size of the square blocks. I tear the leaves into strips, then in tears small squares. (12×12 or whatever you want) 2, 3, 4 different colors or paterns of sheets that you can mix the models and use the most beautiful than the solid side back, or you can make a quilt side 2. I have some weird and worn blankets that are currently used as the middle of the sheet of quilts this year. The first came out ok. and a person can make a matching pillow case from the blocks too … It is washable and light weight, I came up with the idea when I could not find a bed cover was light … (Lived in AZ) and 2 sheets was the ticket … so I hope this simple idea with, is just large blocks sewn together, nothing fancy, but looks good ….
