The art of tattooing with tattoo machines
Getting a tattoo done on any part of your body is now a growing trend and the ones most fascinated by it are the younger lot. It is just a style statement for some and still others view it as a medium of expressing oneself through a tattoo.
The typical tattoo machines are made up of frames that have attached pieces of tubes that can be very easily removed. The tubes need to be sterilized along with needles that are to be inserted in these tubes before each session of tattooing is done. Once the sterilization is complete the needles are inserted into the tubes and they stick out of the tube openings from one end. The tubes have been provided with a handgrip for the tattoo artists to hold the tattoo machines. The tubes are generally made of stainless steel and grip is also of stainless steel or is of hard plastic. The tubes never come in direct touch with the skin of the customer, but still the ink and blood do come in contact with these tubes. The tubes come in variety of sizes that can range from very small to extremely large depending on the size of the tip where the needles are held. The ends of the tube connect easily to the tattoo machines and are easily interchangeable because of their same sizes.
The types of tattoo machines available in the market can be of a liner type or a shader type. The liner type tattoo machines are built with liner that have smaller coils and are always in a proper upright position. On the other hand the shader type tattoo machines have larger coils and they are in slightly angled position.
The liner tattoo machines are for holding liner needles that are needle bars with a group of smaller amount of needles. The liner works bringing the needles in an up and down motion to create line work and small details by perforating the skin and also inserts the appropriate ink color in the tattoo. The number of needles in liner tattoo machines can be as minimum as one and can have a lot more of needles too. The shader tattoo machines are provided with larger coils that consumes a lot of power and is specifically used for the purpose of filling up of larger areas of the skin. The power chord attached to the tattoo machines can be used to derive power either from an electric outlet or a battery pack. The power output can be easily controlled with the help of the dial present on the tattoo machines.
