Raspberry Needle
Unusual dark red / line and purpleish spot a day after blood tests next to the tap?
I've been reading the bruises are normal, but this is not a bruise. Off to the side of the puncturing needle, these two points have been formed, a line and the stain more short. It's sort of a darker color of raspberry, not a wound but a spot under the skin. It does not hurt and only a little pain when putting pressure on it. They appeared the next morning and when I removed the baindaid who were there. Should I be concerned or is a normal side effect? You should see a doctor?
If no improvement, or if it gets larger, would probably have to be seen. Most likely just more than usual beaten the puncture of the needle. I've seen some people have terrible bruising to get blood tests. Sometimes depends on the ability of the person receiving the blood, and sometimes is only because the patient bruises more easily than others.
