For a blues guitarist, what do you think is the most important effects pedal? Why?
It does not matter if you represent a distortion pedal, wah-wah, etc. long as you say why you think it is the most important effects pedal a blues guitarist to have. Or, if you think there is no pedal that is really essential for a blues guitarist, to explain why you feel this way.
My personal opinion is that no pedal is essential for a classic blues guitarist.The blues greats like Muddy and BB and Albert King – has pedals.They not use a guitar and amp used and their own emotions.Even Eric Clapton does not use the pedals until cream and Beano album with John Mayall is considered among his finest work.And even Buddy Guy does not use the pedals until the end of his career. If playing without pedals is good enough for them, who are we to argue?
