Can I take a super B complex vitamin, with iron tablets?
I’m taking my B complex for energy, and to help relieve stress (I’m a student), and I’m also taking fish oil, primrose and a multi-vitamin each morning.
My mum suggested I start taking iron tablets, because I always look so sick-looking, and don’t get enough vitamin D.
Would there be any conflict between these?
-Oh, and I don’t need a lecture about the fact that I’m peeing all these vitamins out.
Just check if your multivitamin has iron, if not then you should be good. A lot of b-complex formulas include iron, so there’s definitely no interactions there. It wouldn’t hurt to get a blood test if you’re able, to check your iron & other levels, but it’s not really a big deal. Chelated iron is supposed to be best, but the science behind that is kinda sketchy.
