Handmade unique craft ideas?
Kind of like the idea of what they have at urban outfitters in stores. By using old things and making it unique so when people come to your room it takes them a little to think of what it really is.
-For example something like cutting up old jeans and gluing them on a cork frame and using it as a tack board. Or getting the inside of new shoes (the plastic things that keep them in shape)and gluing them together to make a cool chandelier. Something unique!

you could take styrofoam plates, tumblers, bowls, etc. Cut out designs within them – eg. floral petals, freehand paisleys, or even some scenic ‘story’ [like you would do for a halloween pumpkin]. then glue some colored cellophane paper on the inside so that the holes are all covered. next, glue or tape the plates together with the cellophane paper on the inside.
it is up to you to make what you will. eg. you could glue just 2 plates together, with a string attached to one end. use several of these to get a mobile or suncatcher. when light passes through the colored holes, patterns will shimmer on the walls.
Or, you could glue many plates, add a bulb in centre to get a chandelier.
for tumblers, bowls, etc. again, you could hang them upside down to get mobiles or combine bowls to get a chandelier or arrange these on your window sill [or wherever there is a good light-source] & use them as containers for little trinkets or artificial/dried flower arrangments or for pot-pourri, or candles, etc.
add bells inside & they will tinkle whenever there is a little breeze

we once made a dove from old visiting cards. make the pigeon [or any bird with white plumage unless you would like to color the cards] with fabric & stuffing. you can also do it with paiper mache. then use the cards, cut into feathers & glue as required. it looks really beautiful.
how about making a landscape picture with old buttons, nuts & screws, etc.? or punch holes in styrofoam & use those rounds to create a mosaic landscape. add color wherever required. you can even use scraps of fabric, leather, wool, plastic, etc. for the background & use the buttons, etc. as adornments.

The clay will need to be baked for 30 minutes at 110˚C to harden the clay. Let the beads cool off for an hour, and then they are ready to be used to make a unique handcrafted piece of jewellery that can be given to anyone as a gift.
