I need help with a bridge design for my Eagle Scout?
There is a trail that is interrupted by a stream that I am building a bridge over. It doesn’t need to be fancy, and just for pedestrians. Any help would be greatly appreciated =)!

Edit: It is 50 feet across and does any one know of where I could find a blueprint for a bridge?

At 50 ft, you don’t want a bridge; you need an elevated walkway or ‘boardwalk.’ Something like this: http://www.bellevue.net/trail4.html
Are you authorized by the property owner to construct something like this? If it is a ‘wetland’ (swamp) it may not be allowed. If it is private property, could you place corrugated drain pipe and back-fill with crushed rock?
To build, you will need to drive pilings into the soil below frost line, then construct cross-members and lay railings, then cover with 2 x 6 or 2 x 4 runners.
