A summary of the mystery of the brass bound trunk?
A book in the Nancy Drew series
Consistency is not something that the Nancy Drew world has great respect for. I remember it was the first book I read that I caught an inconsistency Most in the back while I was in the age group of these books are intended. Mystery of the Brass Bound Trunk was actually established by a soldier's performance gave Nancy the previous book, the index Tapping heels. Yet when the book begins, history everything is obviously not one that was told to her by a soldier. In fact, it could not be said of her at all as it seems occurs on it by accident, like many mysteries, it is behaving. I distinctly remember going back and reading the end of the previous book to check if I had remembered correctly. For some reason, Nancy Drew and her two friends Bess Marvin and George Fayne were in Holland. I do not know how they got there or why they were there. The whole issue is that they were there, and now they come home on a boat. I do not know if they flew over and take a boat to return, or if they took the boat and now make a return trip. Why Holland? Why not London or Paris or Italy? These three young girls in a cab and give them a new roommate, Nelda Detweiler. She is the niece of the master and to study in America after being falsely accused of stealing jewelry in his native South Africa. While on deck while the ship was leaving, Nancy took half a conversation in sign language between a passenger and one person in the dock. Nelda could be the "Do" person she saw the men talking about a warning to beware of Nancy Drew? The mystery is thrust upon her when their luggage delivered to their cabin. A copper bound trunk very similar to Nancy is delivered by mistake. Generally, Nancy seems to be fretting over not having any of her clothing or personal items. However, the trunk has no stickers, labels or markings. It soon becomes apparent that someone on board is desperate to get their hands on chest – the question is why? Instead of a relaxing trip home, Nancy and her friends participate in a mystery involving jewel thieves and espionage international potential. This is par for the course and at least with them, having boarded a ship, there is a reason Nancy and her friends are pretty almost on their own solve the mystery, except the captain of the ship. They receive help from the assistant purser, Rod Havelock, who develops a bit of a romantic interest in Nancy. For the first time, George refers to the three girls boys constant return to the Emerson College with their boyfriends. Despite this, it might be a little confusing for the girls to see Nancy, Bess and George have a boyfriend and accept even dates with other men. It is amazing to think this time people could have "stabilized" and go on dates with other people and has been disrupted. I also think his friends who accompanied him during the cruise by believing they can expect a quiet walk back to New York could benefit from a little annoyed at being constantly dragged into the mysteries Nancy and having little time for the pleasure they had expected. The story itself is fairly good, if predictable operation of many of these stories are more recent. There is no doubt that the mysterious trunk Nancy received in error and false accusation of theft Nelda gem are linked. As with many mysteries, things are ideally when Nancy wants. If she is bound and determined to find a clue on the bridge, the wind is the ideal speed and direction give him the slightest idea that she wants. Even when it briefly hit an impasse, he resolved in his favor soon after. One thing that bothered me on many of these stories is how Nancy can always know that someone is guilty or innocent based on his perceptions. His new friend, Nelda, tells the story being accused of stealing jewelry in her hometown of Johannesburg, and Nancy just knows she is innocent because she is "so lovely". This period is five minutes. The bandits all behave in a way that makes them appear guilty or "bad taste". The pen drawings in this book are pretty basic and I was a little disappointed. Some artists do more scenes with others, and they resemble something the average high school students could turn to art. The pace of the book is good, even if predictability is evident as an adult. It goes quite well with those of girls in the age group that is destined for a good read. There is nothing offensive Mystery of the Brass-Bound Trunk, even with countries of origin being Nelda South Africa. End of apartheid was not known where all this book is released. It is easy reading harmless, which will hold a pre-teen girl pretty interested.
